Maria Bonomi

A big name in Brazilian abstract woodcuts, Bonomi is a pioneer in this technique - traditionally involving small artworks usually in black and white – applying it to larger works using a range of colors.


Besides engraving, the artist produces reliefs in concrete or metal displayed in public spaces in São Paulo, for example the Igreja Mãe do Salvador, Palácio dos Bandeirantes and in Jardim São Paulo subway station.
